Tell Your Story Authentically With the documentary style

Documentary-style photography is different from traditional wedding photography. It almost isn’t a style so much as an approach; one that places emphasis on the narrative. This lends it an aesthetic that can tell a story naturally, and beautifully.

Who am I?

Hi! I’m James.

I’m a documentary style wedding photographer specializing in creating a window into your wedding day you will hold dear for all your life.

I moved to Maine after college and instantly fell in love. Over more than a decade taking photos of my beautiful adopted state, I’ve developed a knack for taking snaps that flatter my clients as well as their surroundings.

I work out of my studio in Portland’s beautiful Old Port and live with my wife Molly, our kids Lena and Henry, and our dog Izzy. They are my world outside of photography!
